Unfortunately, Princeton’s original fixture against Brown was unable to be held this weekend as Brown did not have enough players and were forced to forfeit. Instead, a match against local club Monmouth Rugby was organized for the weekend.
The Princeton Tigers started off brilliantly, taking a 21-0 lead at half-time. However, after making several substitutions at half-time, Monmouth came back strong, scoring the next 15 points. The Tigers held on for a tough, well-deserved 21-15 win. Captain Jochebed Muflam ’17 had an excellent game, scoring a great try – her second of the season.
The Tigers look forward to a tough lineup against Harvard next week, and Dartmouth the week after. Go Princeton!
