Paul Haaga

Paul G. Haaga, Jr. ’70 major Economics, U of Pennsylvania Law School JD and Wharton Business School MBA ’74.
Retired, former chairman of Capital Research and Management Company (mutual funds).
Rugby bio: Played second row, number eight and flanker; member of 1969 Ivy League Champions (first Ivy tourney) and 1968 Washington Sevens Champions; captain of First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry club team (1970-74); played for Sud Americano club team in DC (1974-75). As a senior, Paul organized the Tigers’ infamous spring trip to Martinique where they outscored the Martinique National team 77 – 3 in two test matches.
Paul was a member of the Flying Tigers trip to England in 1974 and the 1977 Caribbean tour to the Bahamas and Cayman Islands.
Now serving on non-profit boards including Princeton University, U of Penn Law School, Natural History Museum of LA County, Huntington Library, Georgetown Prep and National Public Radio.
Paul currently resides in a Los Angeles suburb with his wife, Heather.
