The Princeton Women’s Rugby team remains undefeated after playing Yale University. The Tigers worked hard throughout the week and fixed some of the mistakes from the Cornell match, which resulted in an even greater win against Yale University. Once again, captains Keren Kabambi ‘19 and Felicia Saravo ‘20 showed amazing leadership skills and helped experienced players and rookies alike stay focused. Kabambi won the “Player of the Match” cup after her leadership skills shone throughout the game. PUWRFC showed that hard work pays off!

First Half:

The Tigers started off the first half fiercely and asserted their dominance on the field. Sydney Hsu scored a try within the first five minutes of the game and Alicia Wang made the first conversion kick. During the first half, the Tigers did an amazing job. They scored nine tries and many conversions were made by Sarah Dillender and Alicia Wang. At one point, Katherine Leung took a knee but went back in shortly after. She showed great determination and skill by playing the rest of the game. The Tigers kept up their momentum and kept on scoring.

Second Half:

In the second half, there were four substitutions. Princeton scored six more tries, and again Sarah Dillender and Alicia Wang made several conversions. The Tigers had a hefty lead of 111-0, so the referee decided to cut the last fifteen minutes to five minutes. However, those fifteen minutes were cut even shorter due to two sudden head injuries on the Yale team. The Tigers are excited to see what comes next for their season and are working hard to prepare for their game against Penn.
