- Position: Head Coach
Rich joined Princeton as the Head Coach in the Spring of 2023. He comes to the team with an extensive background coaching men’s, college and youth rugby teams. Rich started playing in 1995 at Rutgers University and never looked back. He went on to play and ultimately coach the Princeton Athletic Club Men’s Rugby team and has been heavily involved with the team for over 20 years. Additionally Rich was an Assistant Coach for the Rutgers Men’s Rugby team.
Rich is dedicated to growing rugby, and actively works to provide opportunities for youth to learn the game. Working at a grassroots level, he founded and coached the Princeton Athletic Club U-19 team, as well as Bridgewater and Franklin Township U-19 teams. Rich also independently runs youth flag programs for boys and girls aged 5- 14 years in local NJ towns. He is an L2 USA Rugby Certified Coach, and a Certified Referee.
Most importantly, Rich is a father to 3 young sons who all play rugby, and he is thrilled to share the love of the sport with them.
