The annual reunions Alumni game was played on West Windsor on a gorgeous sunny day prior to the P-rade. Turnout was excellent and each side had some alums on it. The all-alumni Flying Tigers won the day 46-12. There were many outstanding tries scored. Special kudos to Phil Halsey who scored one try for each side as he moved from the Flying Tiger side to bolster the undergrad side in the second half.
Man of the Match was the legendry Tim S. O’Neill, class of ’76, playing in his 39th consecutive Alumni game and today playing for the entire game. We all salute you Tim!
The Doc Whitton Cup was handed to Flying Tiger captain Pete Davison by undergrad captain Billy Haynes.
Celebrating their 5th reunion, the Class of 2012 co-captains Pete Davison and Spencer Ryan presented Richard and Sandy Lopacki with a framed team photo, taken at the very end of a key victory against Brown their senior year. Almost all the 15 on-field players are in the picture. It is proudly displayed on the Lopacki dining room wall and is ready for all to see at the next Sober Sunday celebration.
